| Okay, we now have some data. Infections arising from the market would be showing up in the figures now. Chiswick has had just three cases in the last week, much lower than the number of cases at the time the market was held. There has been a general rise in infections over this period yet Chiswick is lower so it is a reasonable conclusion that the flower market did not lead to more cases. Hopefully by now the organisers will have got the message that the success of the event is not determined by having a huge turnout and will have learnt lessons from the first market. What is the argument against holding a better marshalled flower market with a smaller attendance next month? |
