| "This is just the latest of many examples where I wonder why the government doesn’t spend any time talking to people who know something before launching an initiative" I adore this post from Paul Campbell. In addition, he details why people aren't back to work in the City and in high rise buildings. And yet we must completely revamp the road network for cyclists that simply aren't there??? Yesterday on Euston Road I saw all of six cyclists on the new cycle lane during the morning "rush." Half of which (that's three - count 'em three) were on motorcycles. Yup. Motorcycles on the cycle lane. But my favorite bit is the complete and utter hypocrisy of suddenly becoming a critic of the government not engaging with people who know something before launching an initiative. Precisely what many have said here regarding local traffic measures (among other things). Yet he has the temerity to call them out for being "anti" or whatever bluster he blathers. I'd rather be a critic than a hypocrite. Proofread before hitting send, Paul. Save yourself the embarrassment. |
