| If there is a spike would it be fair to blame the flower market which in spite of the astonishing numbers of people attending was very well organised. 60 marshals and most people wearing masks even though it was outside. Barriers used to close off entrances from the High Road and many people self distancing in queues and using sanitisers provided by all the shops and cafes. No bad behaviour and the police saw no reason to intervene. Likely to be fewer people in October. The schools were back on Monday. No doubt parents had been informed about restrictions but did it make any difference ? The Arts Ed teenagers were so pleased to see one another again that they ignored the footprints on the pavement, none wearing masks and all joyfully hugging one another. Different the following day. All had masks and distancing. Private school buses delivering pupils with mothers waiting for them to arrive. None wearing masks and all bunched up chatting to one another. Definitely avoid using buses in the school rush hours ( as always)! |
