| Sorry Francis, but I can't accept Steve Curran's support for the market is a good thing if it led him to suppress information about a spike in infections. It seems to me unlikely that he actually did do this but the messaging does seem to be very confusing. This is what he said in his bulletin issued on Friday night - "Last week, I was pleased to report that after the localised spikes in coronavirus cases we returned to the previous low and steady rate. However, these localised spikes serve as a reminder that we cannot become complacent. " This is more likely to be cock up rather than conspiracy and simply a matter of him not bothering to check the latest figures and nobody telling him about the increase. |
