Yes, and actually the risk is not only that existing companies will (even if eventually) leave. New investors will not invest. Companies have ALREADY stopped investing in the UK because of the uncertainty about the referendum, and the risk of Brexit. I can vouch for this from my own experience. It will not be "business as usual" if we leave the EU. Manufacturing jobs in particular (where we have had some revival over the last few years) will be affected, causing unemployment. The overall effect on the economy (following on so soon from the last financial markets caused recession) will be devastating.
