It's got absolutely nothing to do whether foreigners are liked or disliked Carl. But everything to do with what is going to best for the UK going forward. And, yes, immigration is a big issue in case you haven't noticed the UK is a small island in comparison to other EU members - we don't have anywhere near enough housing for our current population, the Health Service is at breaking point, inadequate Education services just to name a few key issues. Have you walked down the High Road and seen the number of Beggars? Today I passed 3 between Waitrose and M&S and on a Saturday and Sunday that number over doubles. These are homeless immigrants who have a less than basic grasp of English, cannot / do not want to work and 'beg' to support themselves, but if they become ill they will have access to free healthcare etc. I'm sure you will come back with your standard riposte that I'm racist / don't like Foreigners but that simply isn't true. The UK, as with all Countries, needs a mix of nationalities and cultures, but surely it makes sense to take on those people who can 'add' rather than 'negate' to our economy and cultural diversity? |
