I grew up before we joined the EU when we had more control over who really ran the UK and over our borders. As I remember it, life seemed pretty good bar some glitches of varying magnitude, I like the thought of being able to elect who governs us, as well as being able to vote them out if they do a rubbish job, and don't think it's a good thing for the UK to have faceless, law making, unelected bureaucrats we can never get rid of, making those decisions for us. Clearly whichever way the Referendum goes there will be negative effects and from which the UK will undoubtedly recover. Have I fully decided? Not yet, but a saving of £20 million per diem could be put to good use on the Health Service, Education, Social Housing......... |
