I don't think that is a valid presumption, for example most of us drink spirits rarely. I'm not saying there are not some people who will want crack cocaine, but it will not have popular appeal. I think you are under a common misapprehension that drug users are generally in search of an ever bigger high - it's a great story but if you start to think of alcohol as a drug you see a different POV. Some people can't get enough but the vast majority of us find a mild usage that suits us and stick with it. The other thing is that you act as if the current situation re drugs is acceptable. It's not. The war is lost. Legalising drugs is the alternative to a hopeless, expensive, unwinnable battle that serves no-one except criminals. Look at the way the gov is trying to ban the legal highs - everytime they get one, three more take it's place - it's honestly farcical. |
