| At last! Someone talks a lot of sense. What we have now is so expensive and experience tells us it just isn't working, if you add on the police and court time the cost is enough to make you wince. It seems the great British public are way, way ahead of the politicians on this - they all fight shy of tackling this head on, and seem to roll over for a few talking heads who are so out of touch it beggars belief, plus many of them are making a very nice living thank-you very much. At least we should give it a try - at a stroke it would undermine the criminal element. Plus the health benefits would be welcome, not to mention the regulation and possible tax benefit. All we need now is a senior enough politician with some guts and the determination to speak up - do not hold your breath. |
