| "But what about the cost of a day of the UK downing tools. Estimates are around 6-10bn. We're at least 4bn out of pocket." Pure humbug and unfound speculation! Nobody knew so early what was spent in pubs and celebration parties throughout the UK which will net the taxman some hefty duties. Not to mention petrol sales etc etc. Needless to say probably Philip even smoked a few more joints than usual to drown out the event. And the future rewards we will get from extra tourism by putting London and the UK back on the international map will reap huge rewards. If this had been a private or secret event we would remain stuck in the depression, doom and gloom we have been forced to endure for so long now. |
