I totally agree - personally I consider the Octopus/Origami, (or even a crunched up piece of paper) would be a monstrous blot on the skyline and very visible from Wellesley Road and surrounding areas of Chiswick.  Whilst I can appreciate the Gherkin which has flowing lines, this flimsy ego trip design would need to be in a field in order to be viewed as a whole.  Despite reassurances, I still wonder what would happen in strong winds.
