| I find the sympathies and focus on the residents of Weltje road a bit strange... it always has been a street that people live on that is clearly an access route to the M4. Used to work with a bloke who lived there in late 90's and when I asked why, as the the traffic was bad ( at peak times ) he said " Because its cheap and gets quick access to the M4". Im not sure anything has changed Reality is if Hammersmith/Hunslow and the National Highways had any gumption they would put a direct access road at the end of Chiswick lane onto the M4 eastbound and lop off a scrubby corner of homefields park - which no-one ever uses - the existing loop under the bridge is not fit for anyone's purpose |
