| At least with Netheravon, Airedale or Beverley, the road closures were actual closures, with built-up kerbs, bollards, and even a hedge across the road. Everyone knew what the deal was - the road was closed! Now we have all kinds of confusing and some would say intentionally misleading arrangements where road 'closures' remain apparently open to traffic, but with cameras clocking up money-making infringements. As for the accidents at the cycle track end of Weltje, if they became worse after the cycle track was installed, that suggests the problem is with the cycle track and not with the previously safe road. |
