If the Chiswick Conservative Cllrs believe that access to the A4 is that important then they should campaign for Netheravon Rd or Airedale Ave to have access to the A4. The reaction from residents on those streets would be interesting to say the least.

The other fact being ignored by the Conservatives is that Weltje traffic is being restricted for safety reasons. There have been more cyclist casualties at the single junction at Weltje than 12 junctions on Cycleway 9 along Chiswick High Rd. This is because no other junction on C9 has anywhere near the volume of traffic crossing the cycle lane that Weltje has. This volume of traffic is many times government guidelines for safe cycle route design.

It is somewhat shameful than LBHF hasn’t done anything about this known issue for years but at least they are taking action now.
