| Most of this makes no sense at all, except to someone with very perverse logic. I can't help but think there is more to it than meets the eye - or can be owned up to without causing a riot. The School Streets business is utterly inexplicable - obviously nobody would object to measures designed to protect children - but on days and at times when there are no children present? What on earth is that about? By the way do any of our resident statisticians have access to figures that show how many traffic-related incidents have occured on these school streets in recent years? Or is it the case that the restrictions are to deal with potential danger? I'm not saying that's not a valid reason for doing it, it would just be interesting to know. |
