| So will you still be able to access Staveley Road southbound past Chiswick School or will the new arrangements restrict traffic in both directions? If so, all southbound traffic will have to continue along Burlington and have a difficult right turn onto the A316, unprotected by traffic lights, unlike the existing Staveley/A316 junction. And will access from the A316 into Burlington by restricted by a No Left Turn for northbound traffic or another Except Permit Holders which will apply to traffic approaching from both directions? The problem of deliveries and visitors would be solved by using Except for Access instead of the permit system, but I guess Except for Access is virtually impossible to enforce, while cameras and permits can do better. What next? No Access southbound into Sutton Court Road off the A4? Maybe it's time for the residents of Grove Park (South Chiswick?) to order the gates to finally close off their community. And if any of them want to drive down my street, they can think again! |
