| Robert your view not mine. Track & trace only works if the virus is being controlled, apparently they reckon 40% of people did not self isolate when contacted and they are not all poor people. We have had weddings, parties, raves sadly that is the moronic behaviour of people. I am not saying that some decisions in hindsight would have been different, the summer rest bite enabled many businesses to at least survive over the winter. The UK has been extremely generous with our taxes (one of the best in the world in terms of support) which we will all have to pay back at some point. This is a pandemic never seen before, if this had happened 10 years ago we would not have been able to develop a vaccine within a year so let’s be thankful it didn’t happen then. You can’t lock people up which is the only way the virus will stop spreading. We are brilliant at knocking ourselves let’s just get real, no we were not prepared for this pandemic nor was any other country. Please don’t insult us by reference to NZ/ AUS there is absolutely no comparison in demographics. The virus spreads because people mix so simple answer don’t mix. I don’t need a government to tell me to stay home I have worked that out for myself. I wear a mask, wash/sanitise my hands. So far all our family and friends except for one in Copenhagen are virus free. Yes, we do have to take personal responsibility. |
