| I'd suggest reading page 39 of this week's edition of 'Private Eye' -' Post-Brexit Braking (sic) News'. Described as 'A perfect shitstorm of undelivered infrastructure, flawed IT systems and mushrooming bureaucracy (which) has led to drivers queueing for hours tio get out of the country.' The 1700 capacity lorry park isn't ready and drivers sent to complusory Covd testing isn't helping. Many do not speak English 'address outsourced 'border operators' (Mitie is recruiting @ £10 an hour) who, one customs advisor says, 'don't know their arse from their elbow'. I could go on - but do read it - it should come with a health warning but if you are already fed-up and a bit down this may put the tin lid on it! The best observation is this, 'Brexit secretary Michael Gove's uncanny ability to make the worst of a bad job is in full post-transition-peri9os evidence in Kent.' Who'd have thought it? |
