| Julian, if you mention a list it’s only fair if someone asks you about that list. Yes, we all have to move on but as Brexit has been four years in the making it’s also only fair to ask what benefits we are reaping because much has been promised. Nothing to do with smugness or taking the piss. I know that Boris Johnson prefers people not to talk about it, and, shamefully, so does Keir Starmer apparently but I’m certainly not going to play along. Now you mention planes being grounded after we leave. That doesn’t sound like a benefit to me more like a feared outcome that hasn’t materialized but planes weren’t grounded before Brexit so nothing has changed. (Except of course loads of planes have been grounded owing to Covid- nothing to do with Brexit I concede.) So, no list really? |
