Blood sacrifices for sins were a ritual of obedience to Gods laws by the Jewish people way before the instruction to build any temple was given. All of the Patriarchs carried out atoning sacrifices for their sins and the sins of their people and they didn't have a temple. So how do you receive forgivness from God? And where does the punishment and justice go that should have been poured out on you? (ie the scape goat or substitution)... |
