| "Militant parents"? Most of the parents I know work really hard to ensure that their kids are tought manners and learn to respect others. It is fun to go out as a family for a meal and my children have even been known to rise to special occasions with some really excellent behaviour when taken out to slightly more upmarket places (mostly on the Continent I must add). Is it militant to suggest that respect works both ways and that some praise should go to parents and children who try really hard to bring their kids rather than putting everyone into the "ankle-biter" or "brat" category? I find that really quite sad and disappointing. |
