| No indeed; my use of it as a point of comparison was only in that it reflected an area wherein people have a difference of opinion regarding what should and shouldn’t be allowed. There (as with the issue re children) I would have preferred to see BOTH sides get their way i.e. we had smoking AND non-smoking establishments and child-friendly AND adult-only establishments. But such compromise is very out of vogue with modern Britain and I accept that. BTW, don’t go ‘poking’ Stewart at the moment – he’s a very grumpy chicken currently and is likely to come at you with fierce words of rebuke! I myself was castigated severely for making a light-hearted comment about computers. And you call him super-green? Man, he is going to be all over you like a bad shirt if he reads this!!!! And its NOT ‘everyone else’ who’s an idiot – is just people that disagree with him…. |
