| I'm with those that think there should be a choice.Certainly there should be places for parents to take their kids but there should ALSO be places for those who DON'T want kids around. There is a growing problem with the concept of 'adult-only' spaces. Pubs certainly don't qualify anymore and there's actually quite a shortage of restaurants (All Bar One is the only place I know of that has a definite 'no kids' policy). But I would say that if you're an establishment with that policy you should be upfront about it and not try to implement it via poor service for families etc.I would also add that parents really aren't the best judge of when their kids are being well-behaved.....Those of you that have chosen to have children - its your choice, its your right, and you should have places to go.But those of us who DON'T have kids and don't want to experience YOURS should also have places where we can go.That way, everyone gets their way - good old British compromise, no? |
