A few things, Guy: You neglected to calculate the actual number of spaces to be lost in Chiswick along single-yellow lines. A simple survey should do the trick. Please avoid your typical bob and weave and answer the question. Posturing isn't an answer. Information is. Per your Brentford numbers, you've pretty much said they will enjoy an increase of 40 spaces. Chiswick loses at least 5 but the final number will be known when you tell us all how many will be lost by the removal of single-yellow parking on both sides of the street. Here's a hint, it's closer to 200 spaces lost in Chiswick. What generates better rates, empty shops or those which are let? Because if you've lost £150M per annum, that's hardly something to crow about. You should be going on about closing that gap. Supporting all businesses throughout the borough will only help with that. You may have noticed Ruth lost one third of her vote compared the previous election. Nothing to brag about. But, again, the rose-colored glasses - or, perhaps, blinkers - do not help your cause. Time for a re-think yet you continue to tow the same old party line. Makes me wonder what you and Jeremy will do in retirement. |
