Good morning, David, The pavement widths on Turnham Green Terrace, given their density of pedestrians traffic, will remain the largest restriction to those on foot getting to the shops on the High Road. If you’re concerned about this, either widening the TGT pavements, which would require the removal of street parking, or wholesale closure, would therefore be the best way to improve pedestrian access to the shops on the High Road. No other pedestrian traffic, with or without CW9, reaches close to the levels that impede walking. As for an example of TfL’s local investment in active transport, which the LSE report advocates in the key section I quoted, I think we all know the answer to that one, even if you’re loathe to admit it! |
