I could of course respond with two words that begin with 'B' and aren't very polite but do express what I think of your reply - but I shall restrain myself. I do have a deal of contempt for the moronic utterances that make no sense and this obsession with how wonderful we are because of WW2, which we could not and would not have won had so many other countries not joined us from our then British Empire. That was almost eighty years ago, we no longer have that Empire, we are an island, and I don't know about you but I have no desire to see us have to 'go back and start all over again' (Flo of Flo's Cafe on the A1 - Newsnight) or go without some foodstuffs (Woolly hatted tw*t - BBC Breakfast). What we have now is a bunch of clueless politicos across the spectrum to whom self preservation and twisted ideology are their guiding motives. I believe very few have the integrity they should have, and which we deserve, or have shown themselves willing to put the people of this country first. All this 'will of the people' garbage is just something to try and justify the sh*t they have got us so deep into. They have made us a small minded, mean lot, and made it acceptable for people to be openly racist and just plain nasty to people who have come here to work at jobs that the natives won't do. |
