| Andrew Neil being a long way from the font of anything remotely resembling knowledge I found the comment amusing that's all. As far as the rest of your post is concerned it's hard to know where to start. There are nearly as many different versions of "leave the EU" as there are people who voted for it. The PEOPLE as you put it, decided in 2017 that the marginal result of an undefined question on the ballot of a referendum which up until then would have been delivered by a Tory party with a majority, should now be delivered by a hung parliament with a minority government. So were the people of 2016 wrong, or did the people of 2017 thwart the will of the people of 2016? Parliament is hamstrung, and has been trying to navigate a way forward as best it can, hampered at every turn by a zombie PM at the head of a moribund administration that has sought to undermine parliamentary process at every turn. That is why everything is in a bloody mess, nearly exactly as all the "experts" (remember them?) predicted they would be. |
