Well. We've reached a stage in the Brexit "negotiations" (reason for the inverted commas below) where business leaders feel the need to confirm that our politicians leading our exit plans are, in fact, arses. Sorry, a correction: lying, ignorant arses. Sorry again, second correction: lying, ignorant arses leading the country into disaster. Clarifications: 1) Negotiation - it is not. We are leaving a massive trading bloc and they are not going to let one country bugger their bloc up. So they tell us how we leave. That's expected. Get over it. But it does not lead to negotiation. 2) An arse - in this case Liam (agreement on our terms is easy) Fox. Hands up if you like and respect him. What? No hands at all? Now that is fair. 3) Lying arse - take your pick. This evening I'll be picking Johnson. But frankly the Brexit pack is rich with people deserving that title. Let's not forget "Turkey is coming" Farage. 4) Ignorant - difficult field for this one. Some have feigned ignorance to make a point. Thus my fav is the one who feigned intelligence and make an ignorance point. So welcome Dom (gosh, so freight comes to an island through a port) Rab. At least we are at a stage of self awareness where many are calling out the arsiness. About time. |
