| Hi Caroline, it's because we've all been working so hard to accommodate the Council's various recycling schemes and associates containers that this latest unexpected imposition is so upsetting. We have been recycling brilliantly. Because of that and because we on the Glebe Estate live in such small terraced houses - among the most densely-packed and heavily parked streets in the Borough - with no access to the garden except through the house itself, we feel unfairly and thoughtlessly-treated. A shirt walk around the Glebe Estate reveals all sorts of purpose-built containers in front gardens, designed to house recycling paraphernalia. Other people have had the timerity to plant their entire front gardens (shock horror) - either way there's scant room for more yucky plastic containers. I can tell from your post that you think we're just whingeing for lack if something else to do . Not true. Honestly I had other plans this weekend that didn't involve being p***ed off by the Council yet again. Just so you know. |
