| I'd imagine very few - most new residential developments within or on the edge of centres are restricted to prevent future occupiers from applying for parking permits. Indeed, both local and national planning policies deter the provision of car parking as much as possible. But if you live close to the High Road and own a car that you never drive why keep the car ? - I don't get that. Especially in this day and age when there's Zipcar and similar alternatives. But thanks for making me laugh when I have to work on a Friday evening by using the phrase "our once beautiful village" - when precisely did you receive your message from the Queen to mark your 100th birthday ? ;-) |
