| I had a chat to the guy that clears the drains who came after I reported our drain covers blocked. His job is to clean out 26000 drains not to clear the covers. He pointed out that the drains are obviously doing their work because the leaves are stuck to the cover where they have been swept onto it by the rain. He says that the street cleaners need to clear the gutters of leaves and then there would be no problem. But I have observed that the sweepers have only being doing this occasionally since last Feb. He has no way of taking the leaves away so just pushes them back to the sides (where they get swept back onto the covers and I report the covers blocked! What a merry go round....) |
