Exactly the point that I have been making since March - to no avail. However if you report the gulley cover as blocked they do come quickly to unblock it. I do this a lot because the gulleys in our street (or drains as you and I would call them) get blocked quickly because - guess what - the leaves have not been swept since Feb/March from the gutters. Our road tends to get enormous puddles when the drain covers are blocked. So keep on logging it - you should not need to do it yourself. Burlington Road was very bad until I reported it and then they had a good look at the drainage of the road and dug it up to put in new drains. Report it as "drainage - blocked gulley" I hope you will do this regularly as the drain clearers report back to HH. I also notice that they don't clear away the debris but leave it either pushed to one side of the drain cover. Or, as you say, more leaves which have not been swept from the gutters get onto the covers and block the drains. So the more people who report this regularly the better! |
