| Absolutely Bruce. None of which is helped by tenants given more rights an security by recent legislation. In itself a good thing but on the flip side landlords trying to bail out in droves, flooding the market and pushing up rents. An immediate and permanent scrapping of the sky high Stamp Duty tax rates, a grip on the free for all service charges levied by managing agents would go some way to defibrillate some growth. PS Stamp Duty used to be a straight percentage (2%) on all transactions starting at a level to help First time Buyers. Clear, fair and not hitting London in the solar plexus unfairly. |
