| Is it not the case that the reduction in the size of the pub to allow more flats to be built made it impossible for it to have a kitchen to serve meals? I remember saying that a previous marketing report (possibly by the same firm) argued that the previous site was too large to be viable but people at the time pointed out that it was the reduction in size that made it uneconomic to open there. There doesn't seem to be too much anger about this - most people I know who used to drink there gave up on a return a long time ago. The apathy might indicate that the report is not inaccurate. |
