Hi Tom, Another reason (beyond burst water mains) why towns and cities are currently gridlocked is because millions of car owners are avoiding all forms of public transport alternatives to steer clear of Covid. Including very short local journeys. It's the same all over Europe. Beautiful Lviv in Western Ukraine is in complete gridlock. The buses and trams are riddled with covid, so thousands are buying up second-hand German motors, being flogged-off cheap in the East as Germany presses on with it's plans to go electric ASAP. |
