I used to go to Boots on the High rOAD to pick up prescription medication and a few other things from other shops at the same time, and maybe browse the charity shops. I have now changed my chemist to one nearer that I can walk to that doesn't involve going into Chiswick. Unless I need to get some cash or decide I can risk the hairdresser again I can't see myself going into Chiswick at all unless I have to post a parcel through Mailboxes - and various delivery services including Royal Mail now pick up from home so even that probably isn't necessary. And in fact as I am in North Chiswick, it's going to be easier getting cash from Acton. As for the hairdresser I am getting used to wearing my hair up! What is the point of living in such an expensive area if you never go into the centre? Might as well move much further out and get more for your money and a smaller town centre that you can actually access. |
