Cut off is exactly right. As someone who lives not far from the Duke of Sussex public house, and comes into Chiswick via Gunnersbury, to have to drive all the way down to the Goldhawk Road has been an absolute nightmare, particularly now the traffic is so bad and slow moving on the High Road. It is without any exaggeration to say that this has added nearly 45 minutes to the journey. I would just reiterate what a number of people have already said on this thread and others, that this reversal is made permanent, and Turnham Green Terrace remains open to cars. I would also ask that Fishers Lane is also reopened to cars, so myself and others can continue to shop and move about our part of London freely and sensibly. All we need now is to get rid of those ridiculous bus gates and islands, and we can at least get part way back to normal before Christmas. |
