The tower will certainly stick out like a sore thum above the skyline when looking North from Kew Gardens, which is a World Heritage site with protected views. Just look at the A-Z of London: Strand on the Green is next to the railway bridge and Kew Gardens is next to Kew Bridge. Would residents please examine for themselves the specified views of the site? And if in any doubt employ a planning consultant to make sure that the specified views and other technical objections available under planning law have been fully explored? I've already mentioned Alsop Verrill, who did a good job for the Hammersmith Town Hall redevelopment. You do have to "push back" against the developers, and that means getting a group of residents to lead a campaign. If you let this through the next ones will be even higher. |
