| There's none of that in my family Philippa! When we're buying clothes it's sraight to Fara Kids for a fun variety ot second hand things and knowing that we're supporting worthy causes and most of its "work wear" but they need their party clothes too and they choose them from the same place then when grown out of they go to friends. All of their clothes and toys have come from the charity shops. The last time we needed clothes was when the little dears had put all their clothes in a bath full of water to help mummy by doing the washing as a surprise for her ( when she was busy with urgent phone calls and emails ). They had nothing dry to wear so we walked to Fara with them in their pyjamas and the 5 year old came back wearing a teenage sleep top printed with strawberries and trimmed with lace, which came down to her knees and was tied in a big knot at the back to stop it from falling off, a becoming sun hat, a rather fetching beaded panda shoulder purse and spotted sunglasses. Her brother chose a plain t-shirt, shorts and a pair of crocs. Meanwhile mummy had put the wet clothes in the washing machine and cleared up the flood in the bathroom. So all was well for a trip to Chiswick House sandy playground. The children never ask for anything. They're perfectly happy with what they have and chose it all themselves. If any ones trying to keep up with the Jones it's other people! They don't have a TV but are good with supervised computers and making up their own games. As for the naughty charity shop, the goods were rescued and taken to other charities and the area manager was there all day today sorting out the problems. Mainly lack of space. So hopefully we'll get there soon. |
