I know that there is a problem with space - which is why it is important that people think about what they give them with regard to clothing. People need to try and give clothing in season but even better is to directly find someone who wants that clothing eg second hand uniform back to the school. With electrical and electronic equipment places like this website give people the opportunity of giving something away that is working to someone who wants it. We've also established on this website that there are three places locally (if still working) where we can get electrical/electronic gizmos repaired. However returning to the fact that everybody should now be able to recycle who wants to I think the question needs to be asked more widely of whether they can. That means that they need to know what they can recycle, have the containers and collection info and be confident that it will be collected. It is not that long since somebody was complaining on here that they could not get LBH to organise a recycling collection for them. And even more recently somebody in Acton who wanted to was complaining about it. It seems complete madness when you want to increase it to deny the service to those that want it. |
