Except it is clearly written by someone with no real knowledge of having kids that are involved in the demo. And one that patronises both the students and their parents. But then I am sure it makes all you right wingers feel better to slag of any of us who try to fight back against the cuts. No real arguments back as to why the UK should have probably the HIGHEST degree fees in the world. Higher than the USA> or why the UK should pay for degree's that the Scots, Welsh and Irish will pay less for. Why the poorest students, those on the means tested EMA allowance should lose the tiny amount of money that enabled them to stay in higher education. NO just attack the parents that are concerned about the terrible cuts to the arts, to humanities, etc... And no one would seriously be encouraging their kids to take place in demos that have the possibly to become violent just to further some ridiculous notion that it would become a career move for their kids. The students have deicide for themselves to protest, they are not being pushed or manipulated by their parents. They understand the implication these cuts will have to THEIR futures and are trying their hardest to fight back. |
