| NOt all students are the same...your ridiculus assumption being that students are middle class, well dress, well spoken, peaceful, nice mannered, and anyone who deviates from this must be some anarchist trying to cause trouble. Some rich kid doing their degree at Oxford, is probably going to have a different response to some kid off the estate that has just learned that they are going to lose their only bit of money. Though, it would appear that many of the students arrested so far have come from the middle classes. They must of been led astray by the commoners. Anyway, I have a niece that was there, and she says the coppers told her that the van was there ' to give you kids something to play with'..and prehaps some of the students were upset at having fire extinquishers fired in their face,,,,,or being having mounted police ramming towards them...
