"Yep - 'whataboutery' is essential in coming out with a balanced conclusion. Otherwise all you have is isolated incidents, personal rants and hates/opinions and ..... etcetcetc... " As usual, you are talking bollocks Laurence. I have produced the facts regarding who is responsible for deaths and injuries on the road. You have produced nothing other than your love for big lumps of metal and pathetic whataboutery to try and deflect attention from this. How do you explain the disproportionate number of people killed by your beloved 4x4s compared to other modes of transport? Is it: 1. 4x4s attract more than the usual share of poor drivers? (or lets call them dickheads, because that is what they are) 2. Even good drivers make mistakes, and a mistake in a 4x4 will have more serious consequences than a mistake in other modes of transport because of their geometry, weight and poor handling. 3. Both of the above Just because you believe in the afterlife does not mean you should support one of the most effective ways of killing people on the roads. |
