Hi Lou, In terms of environmental damage, owning a 4x4 is a lesser 'sin' than owning a dog or having a meat rich diet. Or, even having children. So if you are a family who has two dogs, three children but recycles, eats organic meat everyday and owsn a Prius your environmental footprint is greater than a couple that has a kid, a cat, eats meat three times a week and four 'discos' and flys a couple of times a year. Organic meat tends to have a bigger footprint than non organic its worth noting, for some reason organic has been lumped in with green, this is not strictly true. Do if you where a vegetarian who hasn't had children and can't keep pets then even if you owned a Hummer you'd still be a green super star. |
