| Just checked my facts and Hummers really are pretty nasty in green terms so I don't think I can stand exactly behind what I said. I was only really talking in green terms. My biggest objection to them is the statement they send out to the community around them, it's a kind of 'f you'. I see one and it says 'my shallow consumerist lifestyle is more important than your personal safety and road usage'. It also says 'I'm gullible'. My father was a farmer for years, he used to buy beat up front wheel drive french cars instead of 4x4s as they where better on the fields, did less damage, got stuck less and if they did get stuck you could easily free them! So they don't even win out in a rural setting! |
