| Yes, it's extraordinary how drivers under fire try to deflect people's ire onto cyclists. What possible reason could anyone have to call cyclists lethal? - Why not check the number of pedetrians killed by cars vs cyclists every year?. I've also been knocked off my bike by an SUV - funny how the high driving position didn't help there. Nevertheless I try to be a bit zen about them nowadays and look on the bright side. So I call them taxpayers - I was overtaken by a GMC Yukon the other day (which then pulled right over in front of me because the observant driver didn't see the traffic Q right in front) it was HUGE. It does about 6.8 Km/l (probably less in London) - I reckon that's about £1800 a year in fuel duty and VAT, and they pay more VED. So maybe there is a thin silver lining. |
