| Hounslow had a democratic rule when it was run by the ICG and the Conservatives about 10 years ago. However, the ICG kept the Tories on their toes so much that the Tories wanted them out and thought they could defeat the Labour Party on their own so they stabbed their ICG. Coalition partners in the back and lost the next election miserably. The rest is history because when labour took over they set aside all the rules and decided that despotic rule was the answer and ‘democracy’ became a dirty word and anyone promoting any form of democracy is held in utter contempt. Hence you have inept, and some might say, corrupt governance. |
