| Because they can't quickly think of alternatives. We used to have walking buses 15 years ago. We used to liaise with other parents and schools used to run some sort of chart so that they could contact parents if school was closed for any reason eg snow so that one parent would be responsible for contacting a couple of others and those for contacting a couple more etc. Now I wonder how many of these children are also carrying mobile phones? |
