| The quote from Hammersmith and Fulham Council in the article was very interesting - urging people to respond and saying the interests of all road users should be balanced but not supportive of the scheme. The Council and TfL are effectively at war over Hammersmith Bridge and there is no way that the former would allow work to progress on this project if the bridge wasn't reopened. Kensington and Chelsea are not going to be mad keen on the project either but TfL know that several thousand cyclists from across London can be relied on to back the scheme so they can claim it is has public support. |
