| ... and arrive soaking wet or sweaty, needing to get changed and with my scores in a pretty sorry state and have to travel via Acton (very indirect route) late at night. Or I could just use the very convenient, new mass public transport which can carry up to 1,500 people per train and not clog up the roads like the individual cyclists pedalling away as if better options hadn't been invented 100 or more years ago. If we are not wasting £70M on protecting a handful of local cyclists, we might even get the pot holes fixed and step-free access at the stations so that everyone can benefit. Our chaps and chapess with the hard hats are at this very minute installing the lovely new SCADA system that will ensure that the tunnels are ventilated and some of the other chaps and chapesses are training the operators. |
